Local morning TV in LA

Good morning por la mañana!  Today at 5:30 a.m., my lovely friend Martha had a live TV segment at a local news show en español for Macy’s (promoting fashion for Mother’s Day with mommy models.) So I tagged along just for the fun of it.

The magic of television never ceases to amaze me, and seeing it happen live is always cool. But we had Spanglish speakers galore behind the scenes with the staff and crew….”Me das un mike check en la cuatro por favor?” o “Me encanta la Macy’s… es mi favorite store.” I was in heaven taking pictures (and very surprised they let me, just had to turn off the flash.) The 2 anchors are always “on” meaning they go from one corner of the studio to the other,  hablando de todo un poco  (news, weather, fashion, music, etc) while seamlessly moving the show along, which is not an easy thing to do. They even dance to funky banda music if necessary. In the end there were 2 segments for Macy’s and my friend did an outstanding job! I was very proud to see her on TV and do so well. Pictures follow for your viewing pleasure.
